How to Reach the B&B
It’s only 10 minutes walking or 5
minutes by bus (electric bus line A) from Florence’s
main railway station (Santa Maria Novella) or by taxi.
If you decide to walk here are the instructions:
from
the main train station you walk along VIA PANZANI which becomes VIA
CERRETANI and as you have reached the Cathedral (Duomo) turn right.
Now’ll be in VIA CALZAIUOLI, Florence’s “main drag”.
After about three blocks, you'll find VIA DE' TAVOLINI on your left. Via
de’ Tavolini is long one block, and becomes Via Dante Alighieri,
our street; on the left side, at the #14, there’s the sign ‘CIMATORI’.
You have arrived !
If you decide to take the Electric
Bus 'C2' here are the instructions:
When
you get off the train, continue walking straight ahead through
the ticketing office (Salone Biglietteria), and the bus
stop is on the other side of the wall in front of you. Wait
at the bus stop for Bus 'C2'; Dante Alighieri Street is
one of the scheduled stops on the route.
The bus "A", makes a stop right in front of our front door (look
for the American Express Office). Remember to buy your ticket before you
get on the bus and remember that your luggage has to have a bus ticket
as well.: you can buy it at the Tourist Information office or at the Snack
shop in the ticketing office.
Florence airport Amerigo Vespucci is on the outskirts
of town and can be reached by taxi (10-15 minute ride) or SITA
bus from the railway station.
If
you are coming by car we suggest you to use maps.google.com to
build your itinerary.
The nearer parking is the ‘Garage
One’ at no. 23/Red on S. Egidio street , enter
from oriuolo street no. 42 Red (GPS address – Oriuolo stret
no. 14); Its costs about 30.00 Euro/day (it depends on the car).
There is a city hall owned parking lot in piazza della Libertà called ‘Il
Parterre’ and another one in ‘Beccaria square; they
cost 18.00 Euro/day but you need a taxi to reach the city center
and the B&B.
